History

Ford Funeral home was founded in 1955 by Gus and Margo Ford. From the very beginning, Ford Funeral Home has provided the standard for funeral services in Southeastern Michigan. The Ford Family earned a well-respected reputation for being involved in different philanthropic efforts throughout the community.

Owner, George Rafaidus began working at Ford Funeral Home as a funeral director in 2004, and in 2012 when the Funeral Home became available for sale, he was honored to carry on the tradition. George, along with his wife Charlene, have been in charge ever since. In 2020, you can see their grandchildren playing outside and family who will continue to serve the community with love and compassion.

Ever Improving for Our Neighbors

The Rafaidus Family takes great pride in continuing the efforts of the Ford’s by supporting local churches, schools, civic and fraternal organizations, and surrounding neighborhoods. The staff is also involved in Center Line community activities, participating in groups such as the Center Line Lions, Knights of Columbus, St. Mary, Our Lady Queen of Families Catholic Church (St. Clement site), Center Line Business Association, Michigan Funeral Directors Association (George is past president of District Six), and the National Funeral Directors Association.
