Ford Funeral home was founded in 1955 by Gus and Margo Ford. From the very beginning, Ford Funeral Home has provided the standard for funeral services in Southeastern Michigan. The Ford Family earned a well-respected reputation for being involved in different philanthropic efforts throughout the community.

Owner, George Rafaidus began working at Ford Funeral Home as a funeral director in 2004, and in 2012 when the Funeral Home became available for purchase, he was honored to carry on the tradition of Gus and Margo Ford. George, along with his wife Charlene, have been in charge ever since. Since 2017, you can see their grandchildren playing outside and the family who will continue to serve the community with love and compassion.Their daughter, Elyse Erickson, earned her Mortuary Science Degree from Wayne State University in August, 2023 She then completed her State of Michigan and National Boards in Mortuary Science. Now being a second generation Family member in Funeral Service.


Ever Improving for Our Neighbors

The Rafaidus Family takes great pride in continuing the efforts of the Ford’s by supporting local churches, schools, civic and fraternal organizations, and surrounding neighborhoods. The staff is also involved in Center Line community activities, participating in groups such as the Center Line Lions, Knights of Columbus, St. Mary, Our Lady Queen of Families Catholic Church (St. Clement site), Michigan Funeral Directors Association (George is past president of District Six), and the National Funeral Directors Association.
